Repentence (teshuva)– is self-transformation, i.e., a heartfelt regret for sin, a heartfelt decision to not repete, and confess the heartfelt decision, and God listens and foregives. The renewal of heart and life with God is what is sought. Throughout the scriptures God displays justice and mercy.
